Reverend Dr. R. Vincent Smith III

Reverend SmithReverend Dr. R. Vincent Smith III is founder and pastor of the Trinity Christian Fellowship Center, a nondenominational church in Sarasota, Florida.

Reverend Smith, a native Sarasotan, was born into a family of preachers.  His grandfather, prayed that God would make him a preacher, that was not the career he had in mind, but in 1975, at the age of 13, God answered his grandfather's prayer.  He dedicated his life to God and subsequently was called to the ministry and ordained to preach the Gospel.  He has consistently been involved with instructing and guiding youth, since his years as a teen.

Upon graduation from Sarasota High School, he attended the University of South Florida's New College.  The undeniable zeal to document and promote the works of God led Reverend Smith to become a printer, to open and operate a print shop.  That same drive to spread the Gospel was the catalyst for him to pursue and maintain a first-class engineer's license for the Federal Communication Commission.

The call of the ministry has taken Reverend Smith to churches, prisons, universities, open-air concerts and crusades, hospitals and nursing homes throughout the United States of America, the Caribbean, and Countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.

In July 2000, Reverend Smith established the Trinity Christian Fellowship Center.  With a mission to reach the unreached through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to make our community a better place to live, and since it’s inception, an array of ministries have been birthed.  One such program is the Youth United for Success Mentoring Outreach Program, which meets weekly, mentoring youth from Sarasota and surrounding counties, as well as a young musicians program, designed to teach and train youth on various instruments in the ministry of music.  As an accomplished musician, Reverend Smith has even composed many of the beautiful songs that the choir sings.

Creating an atmosphere that strengthens families, is one of Reverend Smith's priorities.  He is the husband of Venetta Smith, and father of three children, Brienne, Lorienne, and Vincent Smith IV.  His outstanding service to his congregation has touched the hearts and lives of many.  The spiritually uplifting message he preaches can be seen in the lives of both the old and the young.
